It’s the offseason for Joel Embiid, which only could mean one thing:
More kids’ shots are getting blocked.
Last year, we saw Embiid mercilessly swat a little kid’s shot after the Sixers center let him drive to the hoop at an event. It was, of course, all a setup for the inevitable. Well, Embiid was back at it again on Tuesday.
In an Instagram video, Embiid described seeing some kids playing basketball at the park, so he had to stop and play along. In a pickup game with one young kid, Embiid blocked an optimistic layup attempt — just as he did a year ago.
Embiid had a special message for the kids out there.
Saw kids playing at the park while we were driving so I had to stop to teach them how to trust the process….. Nobody gets in my paint ha #TheProcess
There’s no participation trophies when it comes to Embiid. That is indeed how one trusts the process.
