Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) now receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update

Asus Zenfone 3 Max bearing model number ZC520TL is currently receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update via OTA. The update has the version number of V14.10.1705.35.

Before you get confused, Asus has two devices under Zenfone 3 Max name having two different model numbers. Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) was released in July 2016, whereas ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) variant was released in November 2016.

Asus has already released Android 7.0 and 7.1.1 update to ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) variant. ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) is an improved variant of ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL) and features 5.5 inches FHD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 3/4GB RAM 32GB memory, 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.

Once installed, the Android 7.0 Nougat provides new UX and various new features. Some of these include improved notification feature and Quick Settings button, split window mode and efficient space for installation of downloaded apps.

It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent while installing the update.

If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
