Chinese smartphone maker Zopo has announced its latest smartphone for the Indian market, the Speed X. While the smartphone is now official, Zopo hasn’t revealed pricing or availability info just yet. All we know for now is that the Zopo Speed X is going to be available in India “soon” in four colors – Charcoal Black, Orchid Gold, Royale Gold, and Space Grey.
The new “flagship” Zopo Speed X features a 5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution and a 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood is an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz with the Mali T720 GPU clocked at 450 MHz. In terms of memory, the Speed X includes 3GB of DDR3 RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Like a number of new Android smartphones on the market currently, Zopo Speed X comes with a Hybrid Dual SIM slot configuration, which means you will be able to expand the storage further by up to 128GB if you only use a single SIM card.
The Zopo Speed X packs a dual-camera setup at the rear, with a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The 13MP primary sensor is paired with an f/2.2 aperture lens and an LED flash. For selfies, there is 13MP sensor on the front as well, paired with a brighter f/2.0 aperture lens. For taking selfies in low-light, you get a soft LED flash as well. The fingerprint sensor on the Zopo Speed X is placed at the rear, right above the Zopo logo.
Moving on to connectivity, the smartphone offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n dual-band, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS, and 4G VoLTE support. Unfortunately, Zopo has gone with an unimpressive 2680mAh capacity battery with its latest “flagship”, which is a big disappointment. In terms of software, the Speed X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Zopo has teamed up with Niki, which is an artificial intelligence based chat-bot. With Niki.ai, users will be able to pay bills and book services such as cabs, buses, hotels and movie tickets simply by chatting with her.
