Utah Jazz’s Boris Diaw rides Segway to keep up with his running dogs in glorious video

The Jazz’s Boris Diaw has been having an amazing time hiking and camping around Wheeler Peak in Nevada and Canyonlands National Park in Utah with his two Siberian Huskies. We know this because he has been sharing amazing photos and videos this entire week.

On Thursday, he shared the best video yet: drone footage of himself riding a Segway through the national park. It’s truly glorious because of the scenery and because of his genius use of the Segway.

Diaw captioned the video:

Too much hiking!!
But the dogs still want to go for a run a sunset, so i had to take the segway

Using a Segway to take his dogs on a run is nothing new for Diaw. He has been doing this for years in the various cities he’s played in during his NBA career. Diaw talked about why he does it on Zach Lowe’s podcast this past December.

The 35-year-old said to Lowe:

“Segway is great. Two wheels, and it’s pretty fast — and my dog’s are fast. I mean, they’re Siberian Huskies. There’s no way I can run or walk as fast as they are. After a game or two games back-to-back, you’re tired, you don’t want to run with the dogs, so I just use the Segway as a way to make them run, and they love it.”

Diaw is very smart. With the Segway, his dogs get to run, he doesn’t get too tired and everyone wins.
