An unlucky run-in with a tarp ended David Goffin’s chances at the French Open on Friday when he injured his right ankle on a fall while chasing a ball behind the baseline.

More on the moment from the Associated Press:

Goffin reached out with his left hand to try to brace himself against a wall but crumpled to the ground, wincing and clutching at his ankle. Zeballos, meanwhile, was running to track down the ball with his back to the court and did not see what happened. Zeballos’ shot landed out, so Goffin actually won the point.

Goffin was taken to the hospital, but some good news: His coach told the AP that he had not torn any ligaments or broken any bones.
