Twins’ Eduardo Escobar happily milked cow for first time before game in Angels’ annual contest

Every year there is a cow milking competition at Angel Stadium — yes, really — and this year, the Twins’ Eduardo Escobar participated. This has apparently been going on for 43 years.

Look at that smile on Escobar’s face. He’s ready for this. Per MLB.com’s Rhett Bollinger, this was the first cow Escobar has ever milked.

I’ve never milked a cow before either, but it looks like Escobar did a wonderful job. If you experienced cow milkers think otherwise, then, well, at least he was smiling and having fun.

He was so happy!

However, according to the Associated Press‘ Greg Beacham, Escobar’s cow wasn’t cooperating the entire time. Beacham also reported that unfortunately the cows declined to speak to the media.

While Escobar was happy milking the cow, he didn’t win the contest. The Angels’ Blake Parker beat him.

Maybe Escobar can win next time, since he now has experience.
