Oppo F3 now available in Rose Gold in India, priced at Rs.19,990

Oppo has introduced a new color option for its popular F3 selfie-focused mid-range Android smartphone. The F3 will now be available in Rose Gold as well, joining the existing Black and Gold options. Manufacturers don’t usually charge a premium for a new color option, so it is not surprising to see that the Oppo F3 Rose Gold carries an identical Rs.19,990 price tag as the Gold and Black color variants. However, the new Rose Gold option will exclusively be available via Flipkart.

In Vietnam, Oppo has launched a new Limited Edition Red color for the F3, which will go on sale in the country starting August 12th. It has been priced at 19628 VND (Rs.19,600 approx), which is almost identical to the F3’s pricing in India. It isn’t clear if the Limited Edition Red F3 will make its way to India, but we sure hope it does. While the Rose Gold F3 no doubt looks attractive, the Limited Edition Red F3 simply looks more desirable.

The Oppo F3 features a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 resolution Full HD display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. It runs on an octa-core MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz, with a Mali-T860 GPU. The smartphone comes equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable by up to 128GB thanks to a dedicated microSD card slot. Most handsets nowadays come with a Hybrid Dual SIM configuration, so the F3 certainly has an edge over its rivals when it comes to memory expansion.

One of the most impressive features of the F3 is its dual selfie camera setup. Oppo is using a 16MP + 8MP dual camera setup on the front, with the secondary 8MP sensor offering a 120-degree wide-angle lens. When you’re not taking group selfies, you can choose the primary 16MP sensor for highly detailed selfie shots. The rear camera is a 13MP unit with phase detection autofocus, an f/2.2 aperture lens, and a dual-tone LED flash. The fingerprint scanner on the F3 is embedded inside the physical home button on the front. Rest of the key highlights include all the usual connectivity features and a 3200mAh capacity battery. The F3 runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with Oppo’s ColorOS 3.0 running on top.
