Odell Beckham Jr. wears custom cleats in return to practice calling out media outlets

The local and national media kept a close eye on New York Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr. and the reasons why he wasn’t at OTAs in recent weeks. Was it a contract holdout? A shot across the bow? Just some time off after a stressful end of the 2016 season and the boat trip seen ’round the world?

Now, the star is back in practice, and it appears he’s using his cleats to send some sort of message. Here’s a photo from Tuesday’s practice:

Beckham wore white cleats with the names of several news outlets printed in black, including ESPN, TMZ, the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. The names were either X-ed out or covered by the word “Shhhhh!!!” in red ink.

Wonder what he’s trying to say here …
