Lenovo-owned Motorola has scheduled an event in New York City on July 25 where it is expected to announce the Moto Z2 Force. The brand might also introduce the recently leaked Moto X4 along with the Moto Z2 Force. The Moto Z2 Force is expected to launched on Verizon’s network for the US market, similar to its predecessor, the Moto Z Force. These smartphones might reach the Indian shores in a few months time.
The Moto Z2 Force is expected to sport a 5.5-inch shatterproof QHD AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 12-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel secondary camera, and Android 7.11 Nougat operating system. Going by AnTuTu listing, there could also be a variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device could offer 1Gbps data download speeds over LTE networks. As the name suggests, it could also come packed with a large, 3,500mAh battery with support for faster charging.
The Moto X4, which is a successor to the Moto X Style, is expected to be a higher mid-range smartphone. The phone, whose image was leaked yesterday, could feature a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD display, an octa-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 630 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. Going by all the recent leaks, the device might come with a brushed Aluminium unibody, dual-rear-facing cameras, and IP68 certification for dust and water resistant. It looks quite similar to the Galaxy S7, especially in Gold.
While the company has sent out media invites, it hasn’t mentioned which phone it would launch at the event in New York. It could also unveil the Moto Z2 at the event, and they release the Moto Z2 Force at a separate event. Now the assumption is that the Moto Z2 might make its appearance at IFA 2017 expo, which is happening in the first week of September. The device was already was spotted in AnTuTu’s database a few months ago, which hinted us that the device could come with a 5.5-inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 835 processor, and 4GB RAM.
