Micromax has extended its Canvas lineup with the Canvas 1. Priced at Rs 6,999 the Canvas 1 will be available across both online and offline sales channels starting from today. Canvas has been Micromax’s leading lineup and only recently the company had released Canvas 2.

Canvas-1

The Micromax Canvas 1 comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a Quad Core MediaTek MT6737 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers 16GB of internal memory along with a microSD card slot that can further accommodate up to 32GB. The Canvas 1 runs on the Android Nougat and thus it also supports multi window mode.

The camera arrangements on the Canvas 1 include an 8-Megapixel primary sensor with dual color temperature flash and 80-degree wide view angle. Secondary/front facing camera is a 5-Megapixel sensor with an 85-degree lens. Micromax Canvas 1 is also fitted with dual speakers powered by smart audio. The device is backed by a 2,500mAh battery which is rated to offer for a modest 7 hour. Connectivity features on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and OTG support.

Apart from the traditional one-year manufacturer’s warranty, Micromax is also offering a 100-day replacement promise on issues pertaining to hardware. The demand for 4G LTE device has been on a rise especially with the advent of operators like Jio offering data packs at affordable price points. However, on the other hand, there is a dearth of good entry level 4G LTE devices available offline.
