We all know that Meizu has been preparing the Meizu Pro 7 for launch for a long time now. In fact, we have been seeing multiple prototypes of the device in full glory all over the web since the past couple of days. If that wasn’t all, we also saw an unknown Meizu smartphone believed to be the Meizu Pro 7 getting the 3C or CCC (Compulsory China Certification) in China a few days back which carried model numbers M792C and M792Q.
In the latest update to this saga, the brand now has put a teaser on Weibo hinting at the possibility of the presence of a secondary e-ink display on the Meizu Pro 7. The main gist of the teaser is that it is impractical for us to check all the unread messages on our smartphones every minute and thereby hinting towards the usability of the secondary e-ink display as a very decent, non-obtrusive way to do the same.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Meizu Pro 7 could sport a 5.2-inch HD display like its predecessor, the Meizu Pro 6. Under the hood, the device is supposed to be powered by most awaited Helio X30 deca-core chipset which could be coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM options. The Meizu Pro 7 is likely to incorporate the standard Meizu design language and will be similar to a lot of earlier Meizu smartphones. It will also have a fingerprint sensor embedded in a home button. The smartphone is supposed to be available in 64GB and 128GB storage options. We still have no clarity on the version if Android the phone would run at launch since the latest version of Flyme OS is still on Android Marshmallow.
Additionally, we are yet to fully understand how the features on the secondary e-ink display are implemented. The smartphone is said to mark its official debut in July and that is when we shall get to know more about the specifications of the device.
