LG Q6 with Full HD+ FullVision display launched in India at Rs.14,990

As expected, LG today announced the launch of its mid-range Q6 Android smartphone for the Indian market. Featuring a Full HD+ FullVision display, the LG Q6 has been priced at Rs.14,990 in India. It will be going on sale starting tomorrow, exclusively via Amazon India. The smartphone comes in three colors – Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Terra Gold. Launch offers include up to 50GB additional 4G data for Jio subscribers, one-time free screen replacement within 6 months of purchase, and in-game freebies worth Rs.3,200.

The key highlight of the LG Q6 is its 5.5-inch FullVision display with 1080 x 2160 Full HD+ resolution with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 442 pixels per inch. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435 octa-core mobile processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The Dual SIM handset offers 32GB of internal storage and a dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion by up to 2TB. In the camera department, Q6 comes with a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front-facing camera with a 100-degree wide-angle lens.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with GLONASS, USB OTG support, and 4G VoLTE. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh capacity battery, although you don’t get support for fast charging. Another disappointment is the lack of a fingerprint sensor. However, the Q6 does come with MIL-STD-810G certification, so it can take a fair bit of abuse without breaking a sweat. It runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box, with LG’s custom UX layer on top.

LG Q6 is a perfect example of Usability and Aesthetics. It offers Full Vision Display (18:9) which happens to be first in Industry at the price point it offers. With the introduction of this new range, we have ensured that consumers are able to enjoy the best of technology from the house of LG at price points that are well-suited to all of them. The bold, innovative features of the phone will provide an unmatched smartphone experience to them. Now every user will have a personalized product experience with the new Q6 range., said Amit Gujral, CMO at LG Electronics India.
