How to Allow Pop Ups on Mac

Popups are additional dialogues on certain websites, which are disabled on Safari by default based on user experience reports that these pop-ups create an annoying experience but sometimes, they are part of a site and contain important information that the user does not wants to be missed. Sometimes, these pop ups can also be originated when a user attempts to download something, and the browser blocks it preventing the user to continue with the download.

In order to enable pop ups follow the steps below:

  1. Launch Safari and click Safari on the menu bar.
  2. Choose Preferences and click on the Security icon from the new window. It will open up the Security tab.
  3. Now, look for the section called Web content. You will notice a couple of enabled check boxes. Find the one that says Block pop up windows.

When you see that icon, you can click on it and enable that pop up (by clicking on the provided link), or allow all pop ups from that particular site.
