Dodgers ballgirl saves fan from potentially taking a hard-hit foul ball to the face

If there was any disputing about which baseball team has the most heroic ballgirls, the Dodgers put that argument to rest on Sunday.

Last season, a Dodgers ballgirl stopped a phone-using fan from taking a 108.7 mph liner to the head. That was amazing. On Sunday, we saw another act of heroism from a different ballgirl down the left-field line at Dodger Stadium.

After misplaying a foul ball from that same Javier Baez at-bat, this ballgirl showed off some outstanding defense when it really mattered. Unlike the phone-using fan, the man standing in the first row was paying attention, but without the ballgirl’s help, that could have turned into a painful foul ball.

Seriously, what a catch. She got a well-deserved ovation after that grab.

Fans are in safe hands down the lines at Dodger Stadium.
