This might come as a surprise, but it really looks like Conor McGregor is in huge trouble when it comes to his Aug. 26 showdown with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
Like, really big trouble.
On Thursday, Mayweather shared a video of him hitting the double-end bag, and oh wow, the 40-year-old hadn’t lost his speed and precision at all. A few hours later, we got a glimpse of McGregor training against a punching bag. Let’s just say — for a third time — that Conor McGregor is in really big trouble.
Compare that to this:
McGregor is an outstanding MMA fighter. He’s a star in UFC. But when it comes to boxing, he looks like someone pretending to be a boxer. It’s essentially how Tim Tebow looks playing baseball. He’s better than a regular person, but woefully underwhelming on a professional scale.
It’s almost not fair.
McGregor, who has never boxed professionally, is going up against an undefeated legend of the sport. And upon watching McGregor struggle his way through fighting a punching bad, we’re supposed to take this fight seriously? It’s silly.
And yet, this fight will likely bring in hundreds of millions of dollars.
