All Nokia 9 variants pass through GFXBench, specs revealed

Nokia‘s much-anticipated smartphone, the Nokia 9, passed through AnTuTu early last month, and the AnTuTu listing had revealed key specifications of the device. Now, we’re getting a look at nearly the complete spec sheet of the Nokia 9 thanks to the appearance of all of the handset’s variants -TA-1004, TA-1012 and TA-1052 – on the GFXBench benchmark database.

Going by the GFXBench listing, the Nokia 9 should sport a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which is supported by the FCC certification that the device received last month. The phone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage (and a microSD slot), specs that were also listed by AnTuTu. Android 7.1 Nougat will power the handset out of the box, and the front and rear cameras will both be 13-megapixel sensors (GFXBench, as usual, is listing slightly lower camera resolution). Word on the street is that the rear camera could have two sensors (which would be unsurprising as even the Nokia 8 is set to feature dual cameras), and as befits a flagship phone, both cameras would be able to record 4K videos.

The Nokia 9 has received all key certifications in the last month or so, including certification from the Bluetooth SIG, and pricing for the device is rumored to start at Euro 749 in Europe and $699 in the US (roughly ₹44,885). However, it is believed the Nokia TA-1004 and TA-1012 could be variants of the Nokia 8, especially since these specs match those expected to be offered by the Nokia 8. Nothing is certain at this point, however. Nokia has scheduled an event on August 16 for unveiling the Nokia 8, and it is possible we will get more information on the Nokia 9 at the time.
